Your contract is with Great Day Safaris Ltd. A binding contract will come into existence once we receive your deposit. The person making the booking accepts these terms and conditions on behalf of everyone in the group.
A deposit of 45% (or 50% depending on the safari arrangements) is required at the time of booking. The balance is due no later than 65 days before departure. If your booking is made within 65 days of departure, full payment is due at the time of booking. Payments are made via bank wire/transfer. Credit/debit card details may be used to settle any remaining balance unless stated otherwise by the client in writing.
If you wish to make changes to your booking after confirmation, you must inform us in writing. A change fee of €150 (or $75 per person, or $100 for U.S. bookings) may apply, plus any additional costs incurred due to the change. Major changes (e.g. change of departure date or destination) may be treated as a cancellation.
You may cancel your booking at any time. Cancellations must be made in writing and are effective from the date received. Charges are as follows:
65 days or more: Deposit only
50–65 days: 50% of the safari cost
Less than 50 days: 100% of the safari cost
While we aim to provide your arrangements as booked, we may need to make changes due to operational requirements or circumstances beyond our control. In rare cases, we may cancel your trip. If we do, we will offer an alternative or a full refund. If cancellation is not due to force majeure, we will also offer $75 per person compensation.
We do not accept liability for any loss, damage, or expense resulting from war, threat of war, riots, civil strife, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, fire, adverse weather, acts of God, technical problems with transport, airport closures, or any other event beyond our control.
Prices are based on known costs at the time of booking. We reserve the right to increase prices due to factors outside our control such as changes in exchange rates, government actions, or fuel costs. All website and brochure information is correct at the time of publication but is subject to change.
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients. Your policy must include medical coverage and repatriation. We strongly recommend coverage for cancellation, baggage, personal accident, and evacuation. You are responsible for ensuring your insurance is adequate.
You are responsible for obtaining valid travel documents. Passports must be valid for at least six months after your return. Tourist visas for Tanzania can be obtained on arrival for most nationalities (approx. $50, or $100 for U.S. citizens).
Please consult your doctor regarding health precautions for travel in Africa. Yellow fever vaccination is required if arriving from an endemic country. It is your responsibility to be aware of recommended immunizations and travel advisories.
We are responsible for providing your safari holiday as agreed. We are not liable for services or excursions booked separately. Our liability is limited to a maximum of 200% of the holiday price (excluding cases involving death or injury due to negligence).
You are responsible for ensuring that you are fit to travel, that you behave responsibly, and that you comply with local laws and regulations. We reserve the right to remove any client whose behavior is detrimental to the group or staff.
If you have a complaint, please inform your tour leader or local representative immediately. If not resolved, you must notify us in writing within 28 days of your return. Failure to do so may affect your rights under this contract.
This contract is governed by Tanzanian law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
