LAKE MANYARA
is a luscious jungle-like groundwater forests that stretches for 50 km along the base of the famous Rift Valley escarpment, with a total of 330 sq km (127 sq miles). It is 126 km (80 miles) from Arusha Town. Lake Manyara is known for its ancient mahogany and ‘sausage’ trees, and the widespread lake that is home to over 400 birds including flamingos, pelicans and storks.
